Hello! I am Yayoi Hida, Liaison Associate. My work is to make joint patent applications for the outcomes of joint research by university professors and corporations―in other words, I act as a matchmaker or intermediary between the two sides. So what is the TLO? When I first heard about it, I jumped at the chance to see with my own eyes and work with the inventions of university professors. I knew it would be absolutely fascinating! Before I knew it I was a member the CASTI team.
Having the chance to see great ideas is what drives me.
One of my strengths (and weaknesses) is that I tend to think and act at the same time.
I am the youngest person to have ever entered CASTI. I have a background in the humanities, and before this position, worked in the service industry.
I have a strong sense of curiosity and a never-give-up attitude. These traits, combined with my mother-hen personality, are very useful as I act as an intermediary between professors and corporate representatives. I would like to help bring inventions out into the world, and I look forward to working with you!
